Black Granite is a good choice for a hearth because it is very sturdy and quite difficult to mark or chip. The dark colouration also suits most décors and compliments cast-iron fireplaces and stoves. Our Black Granite is available in a highly polished or honed (matt) finish.

Black Granite hearths are 20mm solid and sit on a 30mm plinth or riser bringing the overall height to 50mm (2″). Surfaces can be manufactured any size to suit the requirement of your fireplace. If you are purchasing a Cast Tec mantelpiece the default hearth size for that mantel will be displayed on the relevant product page.

Hearths used for inset solid fuel fires may need to be cut into sections and re-joined to allow for expansion.
